An amazing total of five Rooflight Solutions rooflights were featured by Ryan Serhant during a viewing of 177 East 92nd Street, Upper East Side, New York.
There were four walk-on glass rooflights and an electric access hatch rooflight installed and supplied by Rooflight Solutions within this 4,800 square feet 6-floor townhouse.

Ryan Serhant is an American real estate broker, author, and television personality, currently well known for being the host of the television series “Million Dollar Listing New York”. During this show he reviews amazing property listings across New York, similarly to his famous TV show “Sell it Like Serhant.”

At seven minutes, you can see the gorgeous, custom-designed kitchen, which has European inspired design with top of the range Gagenhowen appliances, with two square rooflights seamlessly integrated into the floor space.
The rooflights act as such a simple feature but still enhances the space, as the natural light radiates through the kitchen, bringing out the gorgeous granite worktops and wooden floors.
Who would have thought a multi-million dollar house could be improved by such a simple design feature?
Ryan describes the rooflights as “lightboxes, taking the natural light coming into the bright floor, flooding the lower level recreation room – a GENIOUS IDEA which gives a walkable COOL LIGHTING DESIGN”

The electric access hatch glass door provides access to the private roof deck, which Ryan describes as “One of the coolest things on the Upper East Side”. The image below shows this feature, with the stunning skyline in the background (shame about the plant pot!)
The access hole needed to be as small as possible; this meant a sleek, space-efficient design was needed. Rooflight Solutions rooflights have an electric actuator integrated into the frame, which can be seen to create extremely clean finish which is needed on such a unique roof deck space.
The wow factor of the roof deck space speaks for itself, and it was crucial to take away as little space for access as possible.
Our opening acces roof hatches are a similar specification and have the same actuator system as our AOV rooflight range; which undergo stringent testing to ensure they fulfil fire safety specifications and can be opened continuously throughout their lifetime.
