Due to the volume of orders coming in from the London area, we decided to take a trip down to the capital. During this period, we tied in a couple of surveys at some upcoming major projects. Showcasing our product at commercial buildings is a great way for many people to receive the advantages that our rooflight gives. It is known that daylight is vital as it helps regulate the body clock, it’s important for mental well-being and can have physical health benefits as well. In a busy warehouse or office, you need a good high-quality light throughout the day and our Rooflights can help bring this quality daylight to central spaces within a building. They take advantage of those large spaces to help distribute light across the floor of warehouses or offices.
One of the most exciting projects down in London was a residential townhouse in Islington. This project involves a large 2.5m by 2.5m rooflight that fills the majority of the roof in a bedroom on the third floor. This Rooflight will be a showcase piece within the property and will allow the resident to receive unprecedented views of the sky. The Rooflight will be installed in the following week and we are looking forward to getting some great shots of this project which will be added to the website.
During this trip, we also took time to visit the Residences at the Mandarin Oriental in London. These properties feature some breath-taking glazing features. We took inspiration from these designs and got some stunning pictures. It will be interesting to compare the design of One Hyde Park building to similar commercial and residential building in New York when we visit in December. We are beginning to get more and more clients from the New York area and we see it as a great area to expand over the next calendar year.
